Law of Communication

January 11, 2013

In attempting to better understand how communications work and to further enhance my skills in the art of communicating; I have been on a very unscientific journey to develop a LAW OF COMMUNICATION.

So far, this is how it reads.

Communication doesn’t happen until a message is registered and interpreted by a receiver. Regardless of the intent or content of the transmitted message, whatever was registered and interpreted by the receiver is the determining factor of what was actually communicated.

Over the coming years; I will continue to revise and refine this until it accurately represents the guiding principle of how communications work.

I welcome feedback and comments.
